SEMAGLUTIDE AND TIRZEPATIDE

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are medications belonging to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. It is primarily used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. They work by stimulating the release of insulin and inhibiting the release of glucagon, which helps regulate blood sugar levels. The FDA recently added an additional indication to the drug, allowing it to be used to help patients lose weight.  By increasing GLP-1, a hormone in the GI tract, semaglutide reduces appetite and helps patients feel fuller longer which can lead to significant weight loss.  Tirzepatide is also a GLP-1 agonist like semaglutide but also increases the hormone Glucosedependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide (GIP).  Our compounded injectable semaglutide and tirzepatide contain cyanocobalamin (vitamin B-12) to help boost energy and help minimize side effects to the medications - specifically nausea and fatigue. ADMINISTRATION Semaglutide/Tirzepatide is administered via subcutaneous injection, typically once a week on the same day. The dosages of semaglutide and tirzepatide are gradually increased, usually every month.  Semaglutide doses range from 0.25 mg to 2.5 mg and Tirzepatide doses range from 2.5 mg to 15 mg.  Starting low and increasing slowly will help minimize side effects.
